Hello! I'm Julie!

I have always been the one documenting every occasion.  Now I get the pleasure of making new friends and documenting everyone's special moments!  I'm excited to capture your big moments for you to enjoy forever.

Although I'm the photographer, JKP is a family affair behind the scenes.  My husband assists with weddings, helps maintain my home studio, and holds down for fort while I'm shooting.  My 11 year old son is my 'closer'.  He LOVES meeting the little ones that walk though our door and gets them laughing again when they are sick of us adults.  My 8 year old daughter loves to help me design sets, model backdrops, and is a quick learner behind the camera.  We'll have another photographer available eventually! =)

Besides my art of photography, I have also been teaching 6th grade Earth Science for 19 years.  My teacher and parent skills make family sessions much easier!  We have two cats and two axolotls to practice on photography skills on at home. I hate coffee but love a good mug of hot chocolate or glass of wine while editing at night.
