How do I book a session?
Start by filling out a client form. You will be emailed information for the client portal, proposal for picking a package, and a link for scheduling a session. Once you sign the contract and pay your deposit, your date/time will be reserved on my calendar for you. Then we can start the fun part...planning!
Do you allow pets or extended family?
I love having pets and extra family involved in sessions! Depending on the type of session, you may have to have a Deluxe session. For indoor sessions, pets are allowed as long as they don't want to hunt down my cats! Extra large groups can not be accommodated in my home studio.
What is the Client Portal?
You will be sent access to a client portal where you can see all emails, invoices, questionnaires, contracts, and a schedule to book or reschedule your session. To officially reserve your session, just pick a day, sign the contract, and pay the deposit which can all be done through the portal or links in emails. Then we can start the fun part.....the planning!
What payments do you accept?
After scheduling your session, you will receive an invoice which you can pay with credit card, Stripe, or Pay Pal. You can also pay with cash or check. All packages require a deposit for booking and paid balance by the day of session.
Where are the sessions located?
You can choose to have your photos taken outside (nearby outdoor locations) or in my home studio in Lake in the Hills, IL. It has natural lighting from a bay window, studio lighting, a variety of backdrops, and way too many props for my husband's liking. I also have some areas in my yard if we are able to pop out for a few outdoor shots (very popular). Great for questionable weather and limited distractions for your little ones. I believe natural light is almost always better! Especially in a beautiful location with amazing sun (like sunrise and sunset)!
How do I prepare for my session?
You will get some pointers before your specific session, including some of the following guides below. I always recommend to schedule outdoor session at sunrise or sunset, try to coordinate outfits but not be too matchy-matchy, and come with ways to keep all models happy (naps, snacks, favorite songs, etc). Don't forget sunblock, bug spray, and appropriate clothing for outdoor sessions!
What happens after my session?
You will receive a gallery of unedited proofs for you to choose from. You will only have to create an account, 'heart' all your favorites, and then submit for me to edit (that's how I balance two jobs and a mama of two....only spend time editing the ones you want!). When finished, I will email you your finished online gallery, a password to download all digital images, a print release, and a code for credit towards any prints you buy off my website.
How do I get my digital images? How long do they take?
You will be able to download high-resolution edited images from my website. Your gallery can be shared but only downloaded with a password. Then you can take the images and print release to any printer of your choice. Galleries are ready within two weeks from session (but usually sooner).
Do you have a package with prints or other products? Can we buy gift certificates?
Yes, you can purchase gift certificates...such a thoughtful gift! You will be able to purchase a loaded USB drive, prints and other products directly from your online gallery and have them delivered to your door! Products are printed from an outside professional printer and approved by the photographer in case you make an order mistake. Great quality! Highly recommend! Every client also gets a print credit to put towards their purchase of products!
